For our client, a market leader in the workwear industry, we are looking for a responsible and experienced General Accountant who will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting activities of a company. The candidate will manage, organise and control all financial processes, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and accounting principles. He/she will also be responsible for the preparation and presentation of annual financial statements, management accounting policy, internal financial controls and business analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the overall financial and accounting activities of the company.
- Prepares the individual chart of accounts and supervises current accounting.
- Ensures that the financial statements comply with legal requirements and participates in the annual closure.
- Responsible for internal financial control and for preventing financial malpractice.
- Assists management with economic analyses and provides advice on effective management of financial resources.
- Supervises inventories and the storage of accounting information.
- Ensures timely provision of required financial information to management.
Requirements:
- Higher accounting and economic education (Master's degree).
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, experience in a management position is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of the Accounting Act and financial legislation.
- Teamwork, process organization and problem solving skills.
- Fluency in English at B1 (Intermediate) level.
- Excellent computer literacy including working with financial software.
- Driving licence.
